You can make it on the stove top, but you will be saving on electricity if you use the crock pot, not to mention you don’t have to babysit it!

The only effort you have to make is in the marinating…it is an important step as its what makes the meat flavourful and tender.

What you will:

3 lb stew meat (cut in small cubes)
4 onions
Olive oil
2 tsp Paprika

Peel onions and add them to a food processor, process until it becomes almost liquid texture. Strain the onion juice and discard the pulp. Place meat in a marinating bowl or bag and pour in the onion juice and 4 tbsp olive oil. Marinate over night.

Simply add in the meat mixture in the pot or crock pot and mix in the paprika. If your cooking it in a pot simmer on low covered for 4-5 hours till meat is tender.

If your using the crock pot, I set it at the ‘II’ 2nd dial for the first 2 hours to get it going, then switch it to ‘I’ 1 st dial for the remaining 3-4 hours till meat is tender. Its so tasty and goes well with rice.
